FAQ
Most Frequently Asked Questions
Here you can find the most frequently asked questions in my consultation.
Surely some of these will bring you answers.
1.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYALURONIC ACID AND BOTOX?
HYALURONIC ACID IS A MOLECULE THAT CAPTURES WATER AND IS USED AS A DERMAL FILLER. BOTOX RELAX THE MUSCULES TO PREVENT AND SMOOTH DEEP WRINKLES. IN SUMMARY BOTH TREATMENTS ARE COMPLEMENTARY BUT DO NOT ACT THE SAME.
2.
HOW LONG CAN HYALURONIC ACID LAST?
HYALURONIC ACID LASTS BETWEEN 8 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR AND BOTOX FROM 4 TO 6 MONTHS. DEPENDING ON THE METABOLISM OF EACH PATIENT THE TIME MAY VARY.
3.
DOES IT HURT TO INJECT HYALURONIC ACID INTO YOUR LIPS?
BEFORE INJECTING HYALURONIC ACID INTO THE LIPS, A MEDICAL CREAM WITH A MIX OF ANESTHETICS IS APPLIED. HOWEVER, IF THE PATIENT NEEDS IT, AN INJECTION WITH ANESTHETIC EFFECT IS PERFORMED IN THE PERIBUCAL AREA.
4.
HOW CAN I KEEP THE ELASTICITY IN MY SKIN?
TO IMPROVE THE SKINS ELASTICITY, DIFFERENT TREATMENTS CAN BE PERFORMED. I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND COLLAGEN INDUCTORS TO START WITH. ONE EXAMPLE IS PLATELET-RICH PLASMA TO REGENERATE THE SKIN AND INCREASE THE COLLAGEN IN THE AREA OF INJECTION. DEPENDING ON THE CASE, THESE TREATMENTS CAN BE COMPLEMENTED WITH APPROPRIATE MEDICAL DEVICES.
5.
HOW TO BETTER MOISTURIZE THE SKIN?
APART FROM GOOD HOME TREATMENT WITH THE RIGHT CREAMS, SERUMS AND SUN PROTECTORS, I RECOMMEND INFILTRATIONS OF VITAMINS AND SKINBOOSTERS TO ACHIEVE AN OPTIMAL BALANCE BETWEEN INTERNAL HYDRATION AND EXTERNAL CARE.
6.
HOW THE EXCESSIVE SWEATING CAN BE TREATED?
EXCESSIVE SWEATING CAN BE TREATED WITH BOTOX TO CONTROL THE CONTINUING SWEAT SECRETION. THE INJECTION AREAS CAN VARY DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF EACH PATIENT. THE MOST COMMON AREAS INCLUDE THE ARMPITS, PALMS OF THE HANDS, FEET AND HEAD.
7.
HOW TO REDUCE THE PIGMENTATION SPOTS ON THE SKIN?
THE PIGMENTATION SPOTS ON THE SKIN, DEPENDING ON THE ROUTE CAUSE, SUCH AS: TABACO, SUN EXPOSURE AND DISBALANCE OF HORMONES. NOT ALL OF THE CASES CAN BE RESOLVED COMPLETLY. BUT IT IS POSSIBLE TO IMPROVE WITH AESTETIC MEDICINE TREATMENTS AND MEDICAL DEVICES. NORMALLY I RECOMMEND FACIAL PEELINGS (ESPECIALLY IN WINTER), IPL LASER AND RETINOIDS HOME TREATMENT.
8.
CAN ALL TEAR TROUGHS CAN BE FILLED WITH HYALURONIC ACID?
NOT IN ALL CASES. WHEN THE PATIENT HAS A LOT OF ELASTICITY IN THE EYE AREA AND PROMINENT BAGS, I DO NOT RECOMMEND INJECTING HYALURONIC ACID SINCE THERE IS A RISK OF INFLAMMATION DUE TO INCREASED WATER RETENTION. EVERY CASE SHOULD BE EVALUATED SEPERATELY. FOR THAT REASON IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE FIRST CONSULTATION WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
9.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR INJECTING BOTOX OR HYALURONIC ACID?
RESTRICTIONS FOR INJECTING HYALURONIC ACID OR BOTOX IN GENERAL ARE: PREGNANCY, BREASTFEEDING AND AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE (IN THE CASE OF HYALURONIC ACID) AND NEUROMUSCULAR DISEASE (IN THE CASE OF BOTOX)
10.
HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I INJECT BOTOX DURING THE YEAR?
NORMALLY THE DURABILITY OF THE BOTOX IS 4 TO 6 MONTHS. IN THIS CASE TWICE A YEAR IS ENOUGH. DUE TO HIGHER METABOLISM OR OTHER FACTORS THAT IMPACT THE DURABILITY OF THE BOTOX IT MIGHT BE NECESARRY TO REPEAT THE PROCEDURE 3 TIMES A YEAR.
